Parenting coaching is a transformative and empowering journey to support you develop a deeper self-awareness, enhance your parenting skills, and create meaningful connections with your love ones.

We explore deeper into the “why” behind your parenting choices as you navigate into finding strategies that is suitable for your unique family dynamics.

In a non-judgmental and safe container, you have the opportunity to explore your own experiences and uncover how your past influences your parenting style. Giving yourself permission to navigate the complexities of parenting with intention and self-compassion.

Ontological parenting coaching takes this journey further by focusing on your way of being rather than solely on actions or strategies. Rooted in a systems-based philosophy, it emphasises the interconnectedness of Body, Emotions, and Language in shaping your experiences and interactions.

This approach fosters self-awareness, authenticity, and intentionality, enabling you to cultivate relationships.

By exploring your inner narratives, past influences, and relational dynamics, you are empowered to break generational patterns and approach parenting through introspection.

Connecting you closer with your family and also as a human being. The ontological parenting coaching approach focuses on being rather than doing and connecting before correction.

We all have challenges in our journey. There is no perfect parent. There is good enough parent who can be aware of how to grow yourself as your children grow.

In your life’s most important and rewarding journeys, you are courageous to seek support. Take the coaching supplements to maintain your and your family’s well-being.

Parenting coaching is a distinct process focused on empowering you, not a form of therapy or direct intervention for children. It emphasises your personal growth, practical strategies, and fostering deeper connections within the family.

Through the coaching sessions, I have learnt that the way that i talk to myself can harm me not just mentally but physically too. I also learned that what I think might not be the truth, even though to me it seems like it is.

The shift I noticed in myself since coaching with Vernessa is I am nicer to myself in the way that I talk to myself, especially when going through something difficult. Vernessa is a great listener and friend, I would recommend her if you are looking for coaching.

Why I set up Mindful Space and became a parenting coach

I have always known, from a very young age, that I wanted to be a teacher. Teaching and coaching has never just been a profession for me — it is a calling of the heart. Over the past 20 years, my journey has taken me across Canada, Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore, where I have had the privilege of learning alongside children and adults in many different educational settings, across both Western and Eastern cultures. These experiences have deeply shaped my understanding of what families truly need.

As a mother of two beautiful daughters — and three angel babies — this work became even more personal. I know, intimately, how much parents long to be present, patient, and loving, yet how easily we can feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsupported. We often know what to do, yet in the busyness of life, we find ourselves slipping into stress reactions and old patterns. This is a journey I walk myself — and continue to learn from, every single day.

Mindful Space and parenting coaching was born from this place of lived experience and deep compassion. It is my way of offering a gentle, nurturing, and safe space where families can slow down, reconnect, reflect, relearn, and grow together.

It is a space where parenting is guided by awareness rather than pressure, and where children are supported not only academically, but emotionally and socially. Here, children are encouraged to believe in themselves, to build confidence and resilience, and to learn how to make mistakes, navigate uncomfortable, uncertain, or challenging moments with courage and self-trust.

Mindful Space also honours parents — recognising the importance of rest, care, and understanding. A space where parents are reminded to prioritise their own well-being, to feel held and supported, and to know they are not alone.

At its heart, Mindful Space exists to hold families with kindness, to nurture deep connection, and to remind every parent and child that they are seen, supported, and deeply worthy of love and care.

Mindful Space is a holistic and inclusive community platform where parents and children learn, play, and grow together through mindfulness, aerial movement, yoga, sensory play, and nature-based experiences — creating meaningful moments of connection that last far beyond the class.
